  • Permanent Total Disability (PTD) is money that you will receive if you are unable to return to any gainful employment due to a work injury resulting in a non-scheduled injury, or a combination of disabling scheduled injuries Multiple Injury benefit increases are available in some cases when a work place accident results in disability to several body parts, and dominant hand benefit increases
  • Disfigurement benefits are paid in cases when the disfigurement may affect future employment prospects
  • Death Benefits and burial expenses payable to surviving loved ones
  • Not all workers compensation insurance companies or employers play by the rules. Our workers compensation laws provide penalties against them for some of the following types of conduct:

    • Delay Penalties for employers that fail to report your claim to its workers compensation insurance carrier
    • Penalties for employers who should, but do not have workers' compensation insurance, in that case you may be eligible for protection under a state fund
    • Wrongful termination penalties for employers who wrongfully terminate injured or disabled employees
    • Safe Place violation penalties for employers that allow workers to use unsafe machinery or engage in unsafe or illegal work practices
    • Bad Faith Penalties of up to 200% of wrongfully denied benefits, against workers compensation insurance companies that refuse to pay benefits without reason
    • Delay Penalties for workers compensation carriers that do not pay your benefits on time.
